Becky Halechko, CRNP

Becky is a native of Drums, Pennsylvania before moving to Helena, Alabama with her husband in November of 2001. She then pursued her dream of becoming a nurse in 2006. Following graduation from Jefferson State Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing, Becky worked at Brookwood Hospital in the labor and delivery unit. Becky decided to return to school and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2011. She then took a position as Director of Nursing at Somerby Assisted Living in Birmingham.

Not to stop at her bachelor’s degree, Becky began pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing while continuing her employment at Somerby. She graduated from Chamberlain College of Nursing, Master of Nursing program in 2014.

While enjoying a much-needed break from college in 2015, the idea came to Becky to open her own medical clinic. With the help of her husband, Southern Wellness was formed. Becky then returned to school to begin the Master of Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner program. While operating Southern Wellness, Becky obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing in May 2019. Becky is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her focus is not only managing Southern Wellness but also serving patients as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She feels that she has achieved a lifelong dream and is enjoying the transition from registered nurse to Family Nurse Practitioner.

Becky resides in Helena with her husband, daughter, and their 3 dogs. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
